If you’re looking for a fun night of big laughs, you’ve come to the right place. In this article, we’ll show you who will be gracing our stage in October, November, and December, and we’ll also give you a sneak preview of comics coming to Winnipeg in 2024.
October
As autumn descends on Winnipeg, so too do hilarious comedians. Here’s some of the names you can expect in October.
Jeremiah Watkins
Physical and free-wheeling, Jeremiah Watkins’ brand of comedy is sure to leave you gasping for air. This up-and-coming comic has been named as the man who made Judd Apatow fall in love with stand-up comedy again. And that’s from Apatow, himself.
Watkins has been very active both on and off-stage, producing on-line sketches, co-hosting the Scissor Bros. Podcast, and appearing on several television programs including Jimmy Kimmel Live, Lights Out with David Spade, HBO’s Crashing, and Netflix’s Historical Roasts. He also has two hour-long stand-up specials available on-line: Family Reunion (Amazon Prime) and DADDY (YouTube).
Michael Ian Black
Fans of the Wet Hot American Summer franchise will be champing at the bit to score Michael Ian Black tickets. The multi-talented stand-up, actor, and author makes his way to Rumor’s Comedy Club in mid-October for two electric nights of comedy.

November
Remember, remember to laugh in November. Let’s look at all the chances you’ll have.
K. Trevor Wilson
K. Trevor Wilson is a comedy force to be reckoned with. You’ll probably recognize him from his role as Squirrely Dan on the hit Crave comedy series, Letterkenny. He’s also appeared on Comedy Central’s Roast Battle, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and he is currently a judge on the Comedy Network’s Roast Battle Canada, now entering it’s third season.
But, while K. Trev has made waves on television, the stage is where he’s at his absolute best, and you can catch him at Rumor’s this coming November.
Jon Dore
Speaking of men of many talents, club favorite Jon Dore is coming back to Rumor’s Comedy Club for five shows in mid-November. Dore is an innovative comedian slipping in and out of character, delivering silly and deadpan gags in equal proportion, making for a complete and balanced comedy meal.
Jon has starred in several television projects including The Lake (Amazon Prime), Humour Resources (CBC Gem), Kroll Show (Comedy Central), and Inside Amy Schumer (Comedy Central).

December
December is Christmas time, and our gift to you is amazing stand-up comedy. Here are a couple of the comedians coming to Winnipeg in December.
Ivan Decker
Observant, well-dressed, and wildly funny, Ivan Decker brings his brand of mild outrage to Rumor’s in December. You’ll know Ivan from his many television gala performances from festivals like Just For Laughs, the Halifax Comedy Festival, and the Winnipeg Comedy Festival. Decker was also featured in the Comedians of the World series on Netflix, and his debut comedy album I Wanted to be a Dinosaur won the Juno award for Best Comedy Album in 2018.
Dave Williamson
A story-teller extraordinaire, Dave Williamson has been touring for years, opening for the likes of Jimmy Fallon, Lewis Black, Jim Gaffigan, and party animal comedian, Bert Kreischer. Last time Dave came by, he brought his pop-up barbecue to share his love of meat with his fans. It might be too cold in Winnipeg in December to do it again, but never fear: our full dinner menu will be sure to have something for everybody.

Comedians coming to Winnipeg in 2024
2023 has been a great year here at Rumor’s, and we’re already looking ahead to 2024. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the comics coming through our club next year.
DJ Demers
The sky is the limit for the talented DJ Demers. His hilaiously unique perspective on life has earned DJ appearances on television shows like America’s Got Talent and Conan, and his album [Indistinct Chatter] was nominated for Best Comedy Album at the 2018 Juno Awards.
DJ is a regular on CBC Radio’s The Debaters, and his new sitcom One More Time will premier on CBC Television in 2024.
Ryan Long
Irreverent and irrefutable, Ryan Long has made a name for himself by going after society’s sacred cows. With devilishly clever logic, Long burst onto the international scene through his series of on-line comedy sketches which took aim at today’s political sensitivities, often revealing the similarities between right and left extremes.
No one on the political spectrum is safe when Ryan Long is around, so get ready to laugh at everybody including yourself when he hits our stage in 2024.

“Always a fantastic time! Good food, great entertainment. Perfect place for a date night! I'm a creature of habit and always get the chicken strips tossed in honey garlic wing sauce, which is delish. Nachos are good and plentiful and the side coleslaw is tasty.” - Monica G-M
