Rumor's Most Recognizable Headliners
Here at Rumor’s, we pride ourselves in bringing in the most talented up-and-coming headliners in the business. A lot of the comedians that have graced our stage have established themselves in the TV and movie industry, because they’re so darn funny. In fact, you’ll probably recognize a lot of them from one of their on-screen projects.
Here’s a look at all the most recognizable Rumor’s headliners.
TJ Miller
Many of you will know TJ Miller as Weasel from the Deadpool movies, or as Erlich Bachman from HBO’s Silicon Valley. When he’s not being a famous actor, TJ likes to stop in at Rumor’s to tell some jokes. And we like to let him.

Dan Mintz
You might not recognize his face, but you’ll definitely recognize his voice. Dan plays Tina Belcher, the butt-obsessed teenage daughter from the hit cartoon, Bob’s Burgers. On stage, Dan delivers deadpan misdirection jokes peppered with intelligence and self-deprecation.
Jay Mewes
He’s one half of the comedy duo, Jay and Silent Bob as seen in movies like Dogma, Mall Rats, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. He’s as charming in person as he is on film, sharing stories of his time on set with big-name stars, and the weirdness of life as a Hollywood cult actor.
Paul Rabliauskas
Paul may be best known as the creator and star of the CTV sitcom, Acting Good. You can catch Rabs on Monday nights on CTV Comedy, or you can wait to see him live at Rumor’s Comedy Club. He always brings the house down.
Michael Ian Black
Reno 911!, Inside Amy Schumer, Wet Hot American Summer, The Jim Gaffigan Show — Michael Ian Black has been around. But, maybe his best credit is as a headliner here at Rumor’s Comedy Club!
K. Trevor Wilson
Pitter patter, let’s get at ‘er! K. Trevor Wilson is definitely best known as Squirrelly Dan from the Canadian backwater comedy, Letterkenny. But, his history with Rumor’s goes way back. In fact, K. Trev has recorded a couple of albums right here at Rumor’s, including his Juno nominated effort, Sorry! (A Canadian Album), and his Christmas comedy album, Christmas with a K.
Dan Soder
He’s one of the best stand-ups in the game, but you might recognize Dan Soder from his recurring role on the hit TV show Billions. We love when Dan comes by to sooth the audience with his deep baritone voice, before making them explode with laughter. A true artist.
Jon Dore
Jon Dore has carved out an eclectic comedy career with appearances on Kroll Show, Inside Amy Schumer, Baroness Von Sketch Show, and his own shows, The Jon Dore Television Show and Humour Resources.
Jon is a club favorite here at Rumor’s, and we’re always ready to welcome him back to Winnipeg whenever he damned-well feels like it.
Fun fact: Back in 2020, Jon Dore had come to Winnipeg to play Rumor’s when, suddenly, the COVID-19 pandemic canceled all live events. One Winnipeg couple mentioned on our socials that they were looking forward to seeing Jon as they had come to see him at Rumor’s on their first date, and make a point of seeing him whenever he comes to our club.
Well, Jon decided to go visit the couple at their home to chat and joke with them (at a safe distance) on their driveway. What a guy!
DJ Demers
DJ Demers has emerged as one of the best Canadian stand-up comedy exports of the last decade, and now he’s got his own TV show on CBC called One More Time. The show follows DJ as the hard-of-hearing manager of a second-hand sports store. If you don’t recognize him from it yet, believe us, you will!
DJ is one of the funniest regular headliners at Rumor’s, bar none.
