Comedians Coming To Winnipeg in 2024
With breakout stars like Steph Tolev, Ryan Long, and Che Durena coming to Winnipeg, 2024 is shaping up to be a helluva year here at Rumor’s.
2023 has been a blast thanks to all the unreal comedians who can and headlined our club, like Doug Stanhope, Jay Mewes, Ashley Gavin, and Jon Dore. We had so much fun that we’re going for more in 2024.
Here’s a look at all the awesome comedians coming to Winnipeg in 2024.
January
New year, new headliners. Check out these absolute killers kicking off 2024.
Chris Robinson
One of the best touring comedians in the country, Chris Robison has been blowing up recently with appearances on several television shows including Baroness Von Sketch Show, Workin’ Moms, Kids in the Hall, and The Boys to name a few.
His half nice, half nasty act centres around his personal experiences with race and relationships, interspersed with observations about everyday life. Chris Robinson comes to Rumor’s January to kick off the new year.
Chris Locke
Innovative, absurd, and gut-bustingly hilarious, Chris Locke returns to Rumor’s to melt your mind. There are few comics who are able to give a perfect glimpse into the recesses of their unique mind like Chris. His stand-up is original, adorable, and just really, really good.
A cast member of CBC’s Run the Burbs, Chris Locke recently starred in the 2023 feature film, Who’s Yer Father? Chris’ shows are always wild and unpredictable, so you might want to come to more than one.
DJ Demers
His new CBC comedy series is called One More Time, which is perfect, because DJ Demers is coming to Rumor’s Club one more time in January.
DJ mixes observational comedy with stories from his own experiences as a deaf man. He’s appeared on the Tonight Show, Conan, and America’s Got Talent, and his album, [indistinct chatter] was nominated for a Juno award in 2018.
February
February can be bitterly cold in Winnipeg, so we’re turning up the heat with some hot, hot acts. Check it out:
Che Durena
TikTok star Che Durena is coming to Winnipeg in February, and you can only see him at Rumor’s Comedy Club. Durena has gained a massive social media following after the viral success of his online rants, and his stories of travel and misadventure are not to be missed.
Paul Rabliauskas
Break-out Canadian stand-up sensation, Paul Rabliauskas returns to his home club for a week of hilariousness.
Hailing from Poplar River First Nation, Paul cut his teeth on the Winnipeg comedy circuit before making it big with his CTV sitcom, Acting Good, now in its second season.
The Manitoba born Rabliauskas is a fan and club favourite, so be sure to grab your tickets fast.
Dave Hemstad
Imagine a hockey dad that channelled all of his aggression into becoming a better person.
That’s Dave Hemstad.
Come watch this seasoned vet make sense of the messed up world around him, as he navigates a minefield of buzzwords, taboo topics, and other people’s feelings. But, don’t worry, you won’t feel too bad for Dave, because he gets himself into some easily avoidable situations.
March
March comes in like a lion in 2024 with some pretty ferocious acts.
Steph Tolev
The self-proclaimed Filth Queen graces Rumor’s Comedy Club with her presence in March, and we can’t wait to roll out the red carpet.
Steph Tolev has emerged as one of the brightest stars of stand-up comedy in the past couple years, opening for Bill Burr on his 2023 tour, and making her first appearance on Netflix. Steph has appeared in the 2023 film, Old Dads, and she has also secured a role on the up-coming season of Hacks.
But, the stage is where Steph truly shines, with her refreshingly frank admissions about sex, dating, body types, and body functions. Steph Tolev is coming to Winnipeg to show you that you are not weird, and you are not alone.
April
Don’t be an April fool, get tickets for comedians coming to Winnipeg in 2024, or you might miss some incredible acts, like:
Ryan Long
Picture a punk rocker walking on a tightrope as his “friends” throw lit matches at him. That’s the general vibe that Ryan Long brings to the stage.
Long’s viral videos showing the similarities between woke and alt-right ideologues have made him a YouTube sensation, and that’s the fine line that he walks whenever he performs. He’s equal parts smart and slippery, poking bears and evading capture to the delight of a live audience. Fans of Andrew Schulz and Shane Gillis may just find a new favourite comic in Ryan Long.
