Major Announcements: More Comedians Coming to Winnipeg in 2024
As if 2024 wasn’t already the hottest year of stand-up comedy in Winnipeg, we’ve gone ahead and booked some seriously amazing acts to bolster our lineup.
We thought it couldn’t get any better after we booked Steph Tolev, Che Durena, Ryan Long, and Ryan Sickler.
We were wrong!
Check out all of these incredible names that we just added to the Rumor’s Comedy Club events list.
TJ Miller
You might recognize him from the Deadpool movies. You might recognize him from HBO’s Silicon Valley. You might even recognize him from his line of hot sauces. But, you probably recognize him from all three, honestly.
That’s right, fan favourite and friend of Rumor’s Comedy Club TJ Miller returns to our stage in April, and we couldn’t be more pumped! This guy is never not funny, and he’s so down to Earth that he makes you feel like you’re the important one in the room. Truly one of our favourite bookings, and we can’t wait for you to join us.
Adrienne Iapalucci
The Dark Queen of comedy, Adrienne Iapalucci, is coming back for round two at Rumor’s this May. Her sarcastic, sardonic, and impatient act is hilarious and refreshingly honest. If only it was just an act.
Adrienne has gained well-deserved praise for her 2020 album Baby Skeletons, and we’re thrilled to hear that she is planning to drop a brand new special very soon. In the meantime, Adrienne has been busy touring with stand-up legend, Louis CK, and appearing on the comedy podcast circuit, including a stop on the Joe Rogan Experience.
In a world that’s too uptight to tell the world what they really think and feel, Adrienne Iapalucci does the Dark Lord’s work, couching her dark observations with a thin veneer of empathy, before setting that couch on fire.
We love Adrienne Iapalucci, and if you haven’t seen her yet, we think you will, too.
Sam Tallent
Sam Tallent is an open book, and that book is left on the most open on the back of a public toilet at the most torturous moment of the story.
Sam does not let a chance to get a laugh slip by, peppering his setups with asides that get pops just as big as his punchlines.
Hey, speaking of open books, Sam also wrote a book called Running the Light. The story follows the life of a down-and-out road comedian over the course of a seven day road trip from gig to gig. It’s hilarious and heart wrenching, like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas if it were written by an off-duty party clown.
We’re so, so excited to have Sam for two nights only in May, so get your tickets right freakin’ now!
Kyle Kinane
Speaking of Sam Tallent’s novel, guess who wrote the foreword.
Here’s a hint: it was Kyle Kinane.
Something else Kinane and Tallent have in common is that Kyle will also be headlining Rumor’s in November.
Fuelled by whiskey and a desire to set the record straight, Kyle Kinane’s act is a rare jewel forged of self-deprecation and hardheadedness — two metals that do not usually mix.
Kyle is the coolest dude in any room he finds himself in. We just happen to give him a microphone for an hour whenever he’s in our room.
