Many people are surprised to learn that Winnipeg comedy clubs care about anything other than comedy, but the truth is we’re a part of this community, and we rely on the good spirits of Winnipeggers to make our shows the rip-roaring good time that they are. So, we’re always looking for ways to give back. Here are a few of them:
Wedding socials
The wedding social is a time-honored Winnipeg tradition. So, what kind of Winnipeggers would we be if we didn’t offer up our space to the lovebirds of the city to raise funds for their nuptials?
That’s right, you can have your wedding social at Rumor’s, and the best part is, we’ll do a lot of the work for you! If you have your social at Rumor’s, we’ll take care of the event tickets, the liquor, and the food. That means you don’t have to jump through all the hoops with Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries to get a liquor license for the day, and you don’t have to go on a huge grocery run to Costco to make sure you have crappy midnight sandwiches.
Our full-dinner menu will please just about anybody, and our extensive drink list means your future father-in-law won’t have to settle for a generic can of beer. We also have tons of non-alcoholic options, so nobody will feel left out of the fun.

Fundraisers
Got a cause that you want to raise money for? We’d love to help!
We’ve hosted many different kinds of fundraisers, from dog shelter fundraisers, to grad committee fundraisers, to hockey team fundraisers and more!
We’ll print custom tickets for your fundraiser, and you can sell them at whatever price you choose as long as it’s no less than retail price. If you sell at retail price, you can keep half the proceeds. But, if you sell above retail price, you can keep the additional money (assuming a minimum of 50 tickets are sold).
You can also add a silent auction and 50/50 prize draws to your event to help you raise even more money for your group or cause.

Harvest Manitoba
If you don’t have an organization or preferred cause in mind, but still want to help out, we’ve got you covered!
Rumor’s Comedy Club offers a Harvest Manitoba package in support of — you guessed it — Harvest Manitoba. If you have a group of 20 or more people ready to have a good time, we’ll sell you tickets for just $5 a piece, with all proceeds going to support Harvest Manitoba.
Manitoba Harvest is a cause near and dear to us here at Rumor’s. Every year, Manitoba Harvest collects and distributes 12 million pounds of food to over 90,000 Manitobans in need. It’s a cause that we couldn’t be more proud to support.
Donations
In addition to hosting wedding socials and fundraising events, we also like to donate to a good cause. So, if you’re planning a social or a fundraiser hit us up! All you have to do is sign up for the Rumor’s Birthday Club and provide us with a copy of your fundraising letter. After that, we’ll send out your donation by email two weeks before your event.
