Winnipeg’s Funniest Person with a Day Job

Think you have what it takes to become Winnipeg’s Funniest Person with a Day Job? Want to try your luck on stage at Rumor’s?

Winnipeg’s Funniest Person with a Day Job is an annual contest put on by Rumor’s that runs every year during the spring and summer. There are several preliminary rounds where the winners advance to the semi-finals and the winners of the semis advance to the Grand Final, where we crown the winner with the title “Winnipeg’s Funniest Person with a Day Job”. There are prizes for all rounds with the grand prize of $1,000 of cold hard cash and a trip to Calgary to perform at the prestigious Laugh Shop Comedy Club! Previous winners have gone on to become regular hosts here at Rumor’s and have competed in Montreal’s Just for Laughs homegrown competition.

The 2023 edition was a tremendous contest, featuring an outstanding competition, culminating with Pat Gagne being named the 2023 winner of Winnipeg's Funniest Person with a Day Job!
