Shane Mauss - June 26
Psychedelic guru and stand-up comedian, Shane Mauss stops by Rumor’s Comedy Club for one night only on June 26th. His show is called A Better Trip, and it’s not just cliche drug humor. It’s a thoughtful examination of psychedelic culture, history, and Shane’s own experiences with various psychedelics. There will even be a live DJ as part of the show, which makes Shane Mauss one of the most unique comedians coming to Winnipeg in 2024.
Jay Mewes - July 11–13
Fans of Jay and Silent Bob unite! The smooth, gibberish-talking stoner Jay Mewes is back by popular demand this summer. Crowds love Jay’s charming demeanor and child-like appreciation for life and the lucky breaks he’s gotten in life. Mixing stories from everyday life with tales from his time on Hollywood movie sets, Jay is the class clown that got famous despite himself — and he’s loving every second of it.
Tom Segura, Bill Burr, and Nate Bargatze - July 19–21
The Great Outdoor Comedy Festival is going down at Assiniboine Park this July with three huge names hitting the stage in successive days, and we’re super proud to be a part of it. Friend of Rumor’s, Tom Segura brings his story-telling style of comedy to the outdoor stage on Friday July 19th. We remember Tom from all the times he headlined our club, before he became famous. He even did a spot on a local cable access late night show called Week Thus Far. Check it out:
And it gets better! Fresh off his performance as JFK on Jerry Seinfeld’s new movie Unfrosted, stand-up legend Bill Burr comes to Winnipeg on July 20th, and he’s bringing along his man-born-too-late act, too.
Then, as if that wasn’t enough, Nate Bargatze rounds out the Great Outdoor Comedy Festival Winnipeg lineup on July 21st. We’ve been pals with Nate for years now, and we’re so pumped to see him hitting the biggest stages in Comedy. Here’s a clip of Nate on the Rumor’s Comedy Cast way back in 2015.
Kristen Toomey - July 30–August 3
Unapologetically real, Kristen Toomey doesn’t give a hoot about whatever you do. She’s a divorcee back on the scene and she’s not impressed with what she’s seeing. But, she’s not ready to pack it up just yet. No, she cuts through today’s B.S. like a knife through butter, and we’re so excited to have her for her first appearance in Winnipeg.
Tom Green - August 8–10
You know him from his popular prank show. Now, Tom Green is bringing his bizarre sensibility to the stage. He’s a regular here at Rumor’s, and he never disappoints. In fact, last time he came by the club, Better Call Saul’s Bob Odenkirk and Back to the Future’s Christopher Lloyd dropped by Rumor’s to watch. Who knows what’ll happen this time.
