Sean Cullen Biography

Multiple Canadian Screen Award and Canadian Comedy Award-winner Sean Cullen has been entertaining audiences for decades. Cullen’s stand-up, uproarious improv, uncanny mimicry and musical talents, give him a style all his own. Cullen is a hit at everything he does. Sean has been a regular at Just For Laughs, The Halifax Comedy Festival and his favourite the Winnipeg Comedy Festival as well as a mainstay on the hit CBC Radio’s The Debaters for decades.

Cullen has starred in his own television series, The Seán Cullen Show, with appearances on Murdoch Mysteries, Workin’ Moms, the new Kids in the Hall series soon to be on Amazon Prime... to name but a few. He was a finalist on NBC's The Last Comic Standing, and he has appeared on shows such as The Ellen (Degeneres) show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and The Late Late Show. He has a number of comedy specials under his belt including Comedy Central Presents... Seán Cullen and CTV Comedy’s Sean Cullen's Wood, Cheese & Children! Look for his next appearance in the upcoming feature Champions! Starring Woody Harrelson and Directed by Bobby Farrelly, a reoccurring role on CTV/CW’s The Spencer Sisters with the iconic Lea Thompson (Back to the Future/ Caroline in the City), and guest appearances on Pretty Hard Cases and Amazon’s Kids in the Hall.

He has leant his voice and writing talents to numerous children's animated series, such as the multi-award winning Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Rocket Monkeys. This past year he also starred in the Netflix Animated feature The Willoughbys with Ricky Gervais, Maya Rudolph, Martin Short, and Alessi Cara and the PEANUTS series The Snoopy Show. Cullen is also an accomplished actor in the theatre. He has appeared at the Shakespeare Theatre Festival in Stratford and starred as Max Bialystock in the Canadian Mirvish production of Mel Brooks' The Producer. Cullen is also an award winning novelist for young adults with the Hamish X and The Prince of Neither Here Nor There Series. He has three comedy albums available on iTunes.
