Jared Story is the host and producer of the Winnipeg Comedy Showcase. A staple of the city’s comedy scene, the Showcase has brought big-time laughs to the Park Theatre since 2014, making it the longest-running independent comedy show in town. Jared has performed many times at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival and has opened for the likes of Gary Gulman, Scott Thompson of The Kids in the Hall, and former pro wrestler Mick Foley. In 2024, Jared released his debut comedy album, Good Ideas, which is currently spinning on SiriusXM. That same year he was voted Favourite Local Comedian in The Uniter 30 reader’s poll. A big thinker from the backwoods, Jared’s act is inspired by his rural upbringing in the tiny town of “Around Dauphin.” Jared’s country turned city boy experience allows him to relate to any audience, whether they drive a BMW or a John Deere.
