Rob Ross is a sought after Canadian headlining stand-up comic and accomplished award winning television writer based in Toronto. Performing credits include: A one hour Comedy Now special on The Comedy Network and CTV, CBC’s Halifax Comedy Festival, CBC’s Winnipeg Comedy Festival, Just For Laughs, JFL42, CTV’s Open Mike and CBC’s 9 O’Clock Show. He was just 24 years old when he did his first nationally televised special COMICS! on CBC. Ross has played comedy clubs across North America and performed on such prestige stages as Toronto’s Massey Hall and Royal Alexandra Theatre, plus The Burton Cummings Theatre for the Performing Arts in Winnipeg. He also once opened for legendary rock band Heart in front of 30,000 angry concertgoers who didn’t expect to see a comedian. Ross was head writer and creative producer for the popular MTV Canada show MTV Live and was a producer for CBC’s award winning hit series Canada’s Smartest Person. Other credits include CBC’s Still Standing, Rick Mercer Report, Andrew Lloyd Weber’s, Over The Rainbow, Royal Canadian Air Farce, Street Cents, The NHL Awards, The Canadian Country Music Awards, Gemini Awards and The Junos on CTV. Another credit is writing for Prime Minister Stephen Harper for two Parliamentary Press Gallery Dinners. But if you don’t like Harper he didn’t.
